What you can do with Link for You
One-time, password protected and expiring links
For the things that should not stay open forever: a document for a client, an invitation or a download. Decide how long the link lives and who can open it.
Choose how it ends
- 1 visit only ("burn after reading"): the link stops working after the first visit.
- A maximum number of visits, from 1 to 1,000,000.
- A password that visitors must enter. It is stored only as a one-way hash, and the attempts are limited.
- An expiration date, at the end of the day in your time zone.
Private by design
- No account: the link is managed with a private key that is shown only once.
- Change the password, the limit or the expiration later, or delete the link.
- Remember that the destination itself must be private too: anyone with its address can open it.
How to do it
- Paste the link and open More options.
- Choose "1 visit only", a click limit or a password, and an expiration date if you want.
- Share the short link and save the private key.
